Hats

I don't understand!! Well I do on some circumstances but still... I just don't get why hats are so rejected! I understand if lice is going around, or teachers can't see your face, but if you know me you know that everyday when I get out of school I put on a hat and its just not fair!! Why no hats!? They frame your face and it has a good message. There are people who devote their lives to making hats and others who model hats. In fact today I got a new hat that is teal and has a small brim and looks just fabulous. On another note I bet that people/celebrities spend more money on hats than clothes. Now that is just a guess but someday you will see... Also there is such a variety its just facinating!!Every good fashon designer knows that a great outfit is not complete without a hat. I on the other hand get complimented on my hats all the time and I tell them 'thanks, I try...' Tell me your thoughts!?

Fire in the house, Fire in the house

SO this morning my dad was attempting to toast some bread. Meanwhile, I complained about the math, science, and huge History tests that were on the same day and it's FRIDAY! Instantaneously, I felt heat on my back. It was hot. I turned around and AHHHHHHHHHHH! The toaster over was ON FIRE! Meepo! And my dad was blowing on it. And it got bigger! So he... CLOSED THE DOOR of the toaster oven.

My mom said, Do you want some water? And my dad said, NO! It's an electrical fire. You don't put water on an electrical fire! (I need to find about this later, but for the time being, I ran into the other room.)

For what it's worth, it's smoky here, too.

Coping with life in the middle of nowhere

Hey Guys! SOOOO sorry I haven't posted in a while but I've been like crazzzzzyy busy!!! So for July 4rth my family always goes to Maine ( Palermo near Augusta and Belfast ) It takes like 4 and a half  hours to get there too... that kinda stinks but whatever?! When we got there it was 6 and we left at 12:30! Let's just say it took longer than expected.

It was Saturday then I finished my 498 page book from page 50 the NEXT morning. OK, now I'll give you a picture of what it looks like. Its a very normal house; it looks sort of like the house I lived in before I moved 2 years ago... fun times, fun times... anyway it's like that and then there is a front yard that has grass and then a LAKE with a dock to read and paint or whatever you want to do there.

So then on Tuesday I RRRREEEEEEAAAALLLLYYYY wanted to jump off the dock but we had never done it before so I did it! I sat on the edge of the dock (While putting my goggles on and jumped) My stomach flipped a little because I kept going down and down and down until finally I just started swimming. Before I knew it I was in smack dab in the MIDDLE of the lake with my mom. Guess what I figured out that doesn't happen in pools? If you somersault and you look up at the sun you can see everything from underwate--its SICK!!!!!

Then do you know what happened? A HORSEFLY attacked me!! They CREEEEEPPPP ME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It started buzzing around my head and then would try to land on me. The only thing to do was to duck under the water to get away. But we were in the middle of the lake--it took a long time to get away! It attacked me and I ducked and then it attacked mom and then me again ( I think you get the point...) and it brought friends! It kept happening until we GOT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Insane right?!

Then Wednesday night (4th of July) we had a HUGE fire and we BURNED my WORDLY WISE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pictures will be attached at end of blog post; it was way awesome just a heads up. The people across the lake from us have fireworks each year so we got our own personal fireworks. Crazy cool; irk?!

Did I mention all the bugs? OMG, they were EVERYYYWHERE I'm not kidding, ask anyone...

So my dad said he wanted to see this 10 acres of land to maybe buy that was like further than the  middle of nowhere so we were driving and we finally got to this dirt road. We were driving down that dirt road for at least 5 min. then we get to this opening in the woods and OMG--yellow jackets, horse flies, hornets, and mosquitoes were CIRCLING THE CAR. It was soooooooooooooooo creepy...I'm going to stop writing about that cause I'm getting shivers!

I want to make it very clear where we were ok--so no internet, no T.V, no cell service, all the water was from the lake except bottled wter for drinking and cooking (it was really strange how we brushed our teeth just saying) The first thing I did when I got home was take a shower I felt clean after that...

I am sorry I haven't wrote in a really long time I've been abnormally busy over the course of the last couple months;but something very interesting happened over winter break.I went to NYC!!!!!!!!!!!When we first got there we saw the post office it was so big it looked like the white house to me.Then we went to the Montgomery hotel it has those roundy round kind of doors that you push to make twirl around in a circle.As I walked into the hotel I was wowed at how big it was it had a big elevator that led to the upstairs where you could check in. This hotel had men in tuxedos walking around saying how can I help you.We saw Central Park and the Imagine circle thing,I love the Beatles!!!! I also saw a bagel store called H&H it was SOOOOOO yummy. We went to a Broadway play called Phantom Of The Opera. All of the actors of the performance were amazing and the Phantom made me jump like 20 times he was a AMAZING actor. We also went to the M&M store it was SOOOOOO awesome there was M&M everything and I mean EVERYTHING shirts,jackets, earrings, necklaces, purses, they also had like 5 different walls filled with all different colors of certain M&M's there were peanut, mini, pretzel, plain, milk chocolate, dark chocolate;it was AWESOME!!!!!!! Before Phantom we went out to eat so we wouldn't be starving AND tired after the show! We went to a quite little petite little Italian restaurant in time square. I looked at the menu and the 3rd thing on it was frog legs, FROG LEGS I mean I know that that's very Italian food and everything but we weren't in Italy we were in New York City! Don't you agree?  I ended up getting ravioli it was sooo delicious with cheese and a tiny bit of salt it was very good.All the apartment buildings and BIG,BIG, BIG buildings; it was SOOOO surprising, oh and I got some good shoes that are like bowling shoes only not as slippery.All on all I <3 NEW YORK CITY!!!!
